User Accounts

You can now create a free TransferRocket account. Once signed in, every transfer you create is automatically associated with your account, giving you a persistent history of all your transfers - including the title, creation date, expiration date, file size and price tier.

Accounts also unlock more visibility into how your transfers are being used. You can see exactly which email addresses have downloaded your transfer, as well as a download count that tracks anonymous downloads via the public link. No more wondering whether your files were received.

Two things worth noting: first, you still don't need an account to send files. TransferRocket's no-account experience remains intact - accounts are there for users who want more control, not as a gate. Second, transfers created before signing up are not retroactively linked to your account.

Built-in File Preview

Recipients can now preview files directly on the transfer page without downloading them first. The built-in viewer supports the following file types:

• Images - JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG, BMP
• Video - MP4, WebM, OGG, MOV
• Audio - MP3, OGG, WAV, AAC, M4A, FLAC
• Documents - PDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx, .xls)

Previously, clicking a file handed control to the browser and opened it in a new tab. The new viewer keeps everything in one place, making it faster and more seamless for recipients to confirm they've received the right files before downloading.

Dark Mode

TransferRocket now automatically adapts to your system's light or dark mode preference. Whether you're working late or just prefer a darker interface, the app will match your environment without any manual configuration.

Performance Improvements

V2 also includes a range of under-the-hood performance improvements across both upload and download. Transfers should feel noticeably faster, particularly for larger files.

TransferRocket v2 brings meaningful improvements across the board - more control for senders, a better experience for recipients and a more comfortable interface for everyone. As always, the same pay-per-use pricing applies. Nothing changes if you prefer to keep transferring files without an account.
